As I’m sitting in front of my laptop staring at the photos from our recent trip to South of France, words cannot even describe how breathtaking every single stop was. South of France was completely E’s idea and I’m glad we didn’t just spend all our time in France exploring Paris – not that there is anything wrong with Paris. Paris is just as gorgeous as South of France but both places run at a very different pace.
E and I spent a week driving down the French Riviera and stopped at quite a few places along the way. Villefranche-sur-Mer and Eze Village were our first among many on this road trip. I’m hoping to share with you some tips and things we’ve learnt along the way over the next few posts.
Villefranche-sur-Mer
Our first couple of nights, we stayed at a boutique hotel in Nice. (Hotel du Midi) From there, it was only a half hour drive to Villefranche-sur-Mer. We parked our car along the side of the road and stayed at the top for a little bit to take in the gorgeous view over looking Villefranche-sur-Mer. Looking at these photos makes me miss France so much!
Eze Village
Eze Village reminds me of a backdrop or set of Beauty and the Beast. I could easily wander around aimlessly through the village for a good half of the day and not even be tired. They have restaurants and lots of cute little shops in many different paths. I couldn’t help myself and ordered a Nutella Crepe as soon as I saw the stand. The cobble stones and plants hanging from all direction makes it feel so incredibly relaxing. The best part of all- Eze Village was only a 15 minute drive from Villefranche-sur-Mer.
Cheers!
