Foodee: Best Restaurants Delivered to your Office

Working in the financial district, I know how difficult at times it can be to figure out what to order in to the office with all the overwhelming choices. Sometimes when you’re too busy to leave the office, the restaurants that you’re craving for may not necessarily offer delivery services. Well thankfully, there is Foodeea web- based restaurant delivery service for offices.

Foodee – established in 8 different cities in the states, is also available in Vancouver and Toronto. They partner with high-quality, local restaurants and focus on environmentally friendly delivery methods.

DSC_0019

Their website is pretty easy to navigate. You simply complete an online profile or corporate profile and select from  a wide selection of restaurants in Toronto that have partnered with foodee. The menu items offered by the restaurant are all listed on the Foodee website and after a few clicks and submitting you’re payment information- you’re good to go! Below are some of the restaurants that have partnered up with Foodee:

  • Antler
  • Barque Smokehouse
  • Belly Buster Submarines
  • Boar
  • Burger’s Priest
  • Calii Love
  • Caplansky’s
  • Colette Grand Cafe
  • Gusto 101
  • Japango
  • Lasa
  • Le Baratin
  • Levetto (Spadina)
  • Maker Pizza
  • Miku
  • Milagro Cantina
  • Momofuku Noodle Bar
  • North of Brooklyn
  • Old School
  • Otto’s Berlin Doner
  • Pai
  • Porchetta & Co
  • Tabule
  • Terroni
  • The Dirty Bird Chicken & Waffles
  • … and a whole lot more!

I’ve ordered in Foodee for lunch last Monday from Levetto for myself and a few coworkers. Levetto has always been a restaurant that I’ve been wanting to check out for quite some time. I’m a sucker for carbs so pizza and pasta was an obvious choice. I requested for a 1pm delivery time to the office and the food arrived on time. My pizzas and pastas were kept warm when it arrived – though it would have been great if some utensils were provided with the delivery.

Overall, Foodee is a great option for deliveries to the office. They offer a wide variety of restaurants that are located outside the financial district as well that I would crave for when I’m stuck in the office on a busy day!

RECAP One of a Kind Show 2017

Earlier last month, we made our annual trip to visit The One of a Kind Show at the Enercare Centre. The show returned for its 39th year to showcase the range of artisanal products available in Canada. This includes the Craft Drink zone were visitors were able to sample small-batch wine, beer and spirits from local “makers and shakers”.

Visitors were able to find their long standing favourites at The One of a Kind Show. With over 500 makers – 132 of which were new – the show featured an array of handmade goods including artisanal food items, decor and dining, fashion, accessories, art, children’s clothing and toys.

Please enjoy the photos from my visit!

Brunch @ White Lily Diner

I’m always anxiously waiting for the weekends to come so I can brunch my heart out. As of recent, the east side of town has become THE place to explore with a galore of new restaurants offering irresistible brunch menu items. Given that I’m a crazy a brunch lady, I’ve made it my mission to hit as many brunch spots as I can. Please be aware that it will be very likely to see an overwhelming amount of brunch posts in the upcoming weeks. So without further a due, lets start with one of my favourites – White Lily Diner!

DSC_0704

I’ve visited White Lily Diner twice in one month – both visits were during brunch service on a Saturday morning. This fairly cozy & small restaurant located on Queen Street East fills up pretty quickly the minute it opens its doors to the public.  The first time we visited White Lily Diner, we arrived exactly at 10am (when the restaurant opened) and managed to snatch the last table. The second visit to this eatery, we weren’t as lucky and ended up waiting an hour.

DSC_0698

Photos below are from both my brunch visits.

IMG_4730

Classic Patty Melt ($12.00)

  • 6oz beef patty, American cheese sauce, poblano relish

IMG_4734

If you don’t know where to start with their menu, I would suggest their Buttermilk Griddle Cakes with Bacon. Their griddle cakes were super fluffy topped with perfectly cooked strips of bacon. The lightly drizzled syrup tied everything in together – giving you that sweet & savoury component all in one bite. Another one of my favourites that I ordered for both visits was the Patty Melt. The bread supporting the patty melt was toasted nicely. The patty itself was incredibly juicy – layered with a nice kick of American Cheese sauce – finished off with a sweet and subtle poblano relish. I don’t usually opt for patty melts let alone order them for brunch at 10am but man, these patty melts were uber delicious!

White Lily Diner opens Tuesday – Sunday from 10am to 10pm. Be sure to come right when they open or be prepared to wait.
