Sneak preview of Muse Salon & Ebisu on Queen (coming soon)

With already a location in one of the busiest districts in central Vancouver, Muse Salon has graced their presence by opening their first ever Toronto location right in the hustle & bustle of Queen Street West. They are situated on the second floor above Ebisu, an Izakaya restaurant replacing Sushi Queen. A few weeks ago, we had the opportunity to visit the salon to get the full Muse Salon experience.

Muse Salon strives to use the newest equipment, safest products and techniques from experienced staff. The shampoo stations at Muse Salon are all products from Japan. It’s the first time I’ve ever sat in an electrical shampoo chair –  it was quite relaxing and comfy. I didn’t have to physically adjust my position so that my head would sit comfortably in the shampoo bowl.

I’ve had my fair share of  Japanese Hair Salons experiences in Toronto. My hair stylist at Muse Salon gave me one of the most relaxing & longest head massages I’ve had in a while. I asked my stylist for a “bob” cut and to only have my hair shorten by 1-2 inches. She gave me her feedback and offered some suggestions which I liked.

Less than an hour later, voila! I had a “bob” cut whilst only having my hair shortened by 1-2 inches. I asked for my bangs to be trimmed ever so slightly so they don’t appear as thick and heavy. I quite enjoyed my overall experience at Muse Salon and am loving the result of this cut =)
