Goodbye Guu & Hello Kinka Izakaya!

As of November 1st, 2015, “Guu Izakaya” (Church, Bloor & North York locations) have been renamed Kinka Izakaya (@KinkaIzakayaTO). This is due to an ending franchise agreement between Kinka Family Inc. and Kitanoya Marketing Corp. But don’t you worry! Nothing has changed except for the name. The menu, quality of food, staff and of course the almost-verbally-abusive greetings (lol) remain the same. For those who are curious, “KINKA” means “Golden Flower” and symbolizes “happiness”.

I always looking forward to a good hearty meal here.  The Kaki Mayo is always my favourite and it’s really the reason why I keep coming back. I also wished they add the Yaki Udon to the tasting menu #sogood
