Poutine @ Firepit

So I definitely feel my cholesterol rising because for the past 2 weeks I’ve been on some insane poutine craze. Hope it ends soon before I suffer from a heart attack – my poor body needs some rest =(

Anyways, Firepit is an affordable family restaurant located at the intersections of Hurontario & Brittania in Mississauga. They specialize in providing a variety of fast foods serving burgers, sandwiches, souvlak etc. Unfortunately, every time I’ve been only able to grab their poutine for a late night snack!

Large Poutine ($4.85) / Small ($4.15)

  • The poutine here is amazing!
  • As I was watching them make this – I noticed they first pour a bit of gravy to the bottom of the container before adding the fries & more gravy & cheese – Uber delicious!
  • Perfect ratio between the gravy smothered across the hot fries
  • I usually order the poutine for take out and it never included the onion rings – but wow! the rings are probably one of the best in Mississauga – really crispy and hot!

Hmmm The stringy cheese =)

The poutine here is OH-SO-Good! I’ve been a frequent customer at Firepit ever since. It’s a must try =)

You seem to really love poutine. If you ever have a chance to go to Quebec city, you have to try Ashton. It’s a poutine chain but it’s the best poutine you will ever have. The secret is the fresh cheese which arrives daily, a sauce with just the right taste of beef and the absolutely perfect fries. I have tried many others versions and for some reason, nothing else has come close.
